One of Nashville’s most unorthodox and innovative new country singer/songwriters today is Warner Music Nashville country artist Redferrin.
His recent releases are full of adrenaline-pumping energy and rebellious swagger, providing just a sample of the complex musical textures he can create.
With lyrics that serve as a manifesto for his take-it-or-leave-it style, Redferrin’s music is relatable to today’s rural culture.
Born Blake Redferrin, the White House, Tennessee native spent his first 24 years on the pegs of a dirt bike, now harnessing that thrill-seeking spirit and relentless drive for a new kind of sound.
He already boasts several successful cuts, including Florida Georgia Line’s hip-hop inspired “Countryside,” Nelly’s recent smash “Lil Bit,” and Dean Brody and The Reklaws' “I Can’t Help Myself,” which showcased a knack for party starting, hitting No. 1 in Canada and setting a record for the most one-week radio spins in the nation’s history.
He has plenty of his own recordings, as well, such as “Jack and Diet Coke”, “Stuck”, “Lose Her For Nothin”, and “Champagne In The Morning”.
Fresh off the heels of his latest album “Old No. 7”, Redferrin is opening select tour dates in 2024 with Billy Currington and Kip Moore, and sharing some of country music’s biggest festival stages with the likes of Cody Johnson, Brothers Osborne, Riley Green, Sam Hunt and Russell Dickerson, to name a few.
Honeymoon Suite is a Canadian rock band formed in 1981 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. They are considered one of Canada’s most successful rock bands of the 1980’s.
They have been nominated for seven Juno Awards and were awarded the Juno in 1986 for Group of the Year.
Honeymoon Suite's spirited, commercial style, supported by the then-new promotional medium of music videos, brought the band instant success.
Its first LP, Honeymoon Suite issued in 1984, included 'New Girl Now,' an international hit which opened the doors for HMS to play several tours in North America as an opening act for the likes of Journey, Heart, Billy Idol, April Wine, Jethro Tull, The Kinks, and Bryan Adams.
‘New Girl Now’ continues to get plenty of radio spins all over the world today.
Other notable hits off the debut album included ‘Burning In Love’, ‘Wave Babies’ and ‘Stay In The Light’.
Their next album in 1986, The Big Prize, produced a trio of US hits; 'Feel It Again', ‘Bad Attitude’, and the rock ballad, ‘What Does It Take’. By this time the band had toured all over North America, as well as in Europe and Japan.
Racing After Midnight would follow next in 1988, and more big hits such as 'Love Changes Everything', 'Lookin' Out for Number One', and ‘Lethal Weapon’, the title track to the Mel Gibson action movie of the same name.
Honeymoon Suite continues to perform at theatres, festivals and casinos all over North America today.
In 2024, Honeymoon Suite released its 8th studio album titled, Alive.
